This Is The Earliest Chubby Bear Version
~ A Wonderful Set of Felt Miniature Dolls ~
All vintage items guaranteed : No Reproductions - No Fantasy Items unless noted in the description!
These felt dolls are Baps dolls. They were designed by
Hilde (BA)rtel & sold by Edith von Ar(PS) which is how
the name BAPS came to be. They were made after WWII, and originally sold on the American Army Bases during the lean years after the war. The company grew from there.
This set of Goldilocks & the 3 Bears is pictured in the
Baps book as the earliest ones - the later ones are slimmed
down, not chubby
. Papa Bear is 5" tall including his hat,
and Baby Bear is 3" so you can gage the size.
And Goldilocks is the correct one
for this set too.
They are in excellent condition
with no moth holes
or stains. The only flaw is
Papa Bear is missing one glove.
