Magura MT5 HC Red is the perfect combination of a powerful four piston  brake with the popular HC 1 finger lever blade.
MT5 HC Red is an upgraded version of regular MT5s, and includes much nicer HC 1-finger lever blade and red caliper inserts. With these upgrades MT5 HC Red brakes are virtually identical to more expensive MT7s.
With the new MT5 HC, Magura has adapted motorcycle racing's proven 4-piston technology to create an absolute maximum of braking force for use on  bicycles. No matter how difficult the trail terrain, Magura's 4-piston  technology and novel new ergonomics in the brake lever give you a  performance package that will fill you with confidence. The aluminium,  two-finger brake levers are ergonomically designed to reduce strain on  hands, allowing you to easily and accurately apply all the braking power  you need, even during long braking sessions. Magura employs  Carbotecture® technology in the brake handle housing, keeping the MT5's  weight down to a minimum and providing optimal braking performance.
The MT5 brakes offer full 4-piston braking power and can  be adjusted individually with each brake lever. The lever blade allows for a manual adjustment of the mechnical leverage ratio and is designed to allow for an individual set up with regards to  braking force required combined with a perfect pressure point. The additional braking power of 4 pistons adapted from MAGURA’s motor sport experience gives you the fine control and maximum stability you need on tough Enduro and downhill runs.
