Carl Palmer's PM
at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin [Germany] on Monday, 14th April, 1980, presented by Mike Scheller. When Emerson, Lake and Palmer disbanded in 1979, drummer Carl Palmer seized the opportunity to form the band PM. He recruited keyboard player and vocalist Todd Cochran from the band Automatic Man and blues guitarist John Nitzinger, along with bassist Erik Scott and jazz guitarist and vocalist Barry Finnerty. In early 1980 the band's only album,
1:PM
, was released in Europe by Ariola Records. The album wasn't successful and PM disbanded soon after the tour, and Palmer went on to join Asia. Finnerty, who played and recorded with Miles Davis in 1981, and was featured on
The Man with the Horn
, later described his time in PM as 'his first experience at shooting myself in the foot, career-wise'. "We did release one record", he said. "If anyone ever hears it...my condolences."
The poster measures 59.7 x 84.0 cm (approx. 23.5" by 33.1" inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In near excellent unfolded condition, ready to frame.
