    Description

In the early 1990s, Sabine Esche designed several series for the doll manufacturer Sigikid. She is a German-born doll artist who creates dolls with thoughtful and dreamy facial expressions.
    ABOUT NINA:
Nina (#28155) measures 21.5" in height. She has top quality vinyl arms and legs (that have the look of porcelain) with a cloth torso. Her blue eyes are hand-painted. (I should note that some of the white paint in her eyes has turned a little gray over time, but it is not very noticeable.) She has a real human hair wig of auburn hair. Nina is unique in that she has small freckles on her cheeks and nose. Her face has a calm and beautiful expression. She is a Limited Edition Number 149 of 1500.
She is wearing all-original clothing made from high-quality European fabrics. Her outfit includes a long-sleeved cotton striped dress with white wrist accent. It has a double-pointed collar of green and white fabric. The hem of the dress is also doubled, with a green hem underneath the striped fabric.
Also around her neck is a tied reddish-brown handkerchief with a cameo at the neck. (The cameo seems a little loose, but is still held on by thread.) She has dark green hair ribbons and her original braids are still intact. She has white underclothing under her dress, white socks, and black tie-closure leather boots. Some of her white clothing may have turned a cream color over time. Sigikid clothing is washable. Nina's clothing has not been washed previously. Her original retail price was 0.00. She was created to stay seated.
Nina comes with her original certificate of authenticity, which is still attached to her left hand. The certificate does show some creases and bends. She also comes with an original Sigikid box for a Nina doll, however, the identification number on the box is for Nina doll number 59, not 149, as this doll is marked. The box itself is in very good condition with just some bumped corners and small scratches.
My Mom, a doll collector, purchased Nina from a doll shop in the 1990s. My Mom is the original and only owner. Nina has been stored in a cool, dry, smoke-free, and pet-free environment. She was displayed for a short time in an armoire. She was never played with. She is in excellent condition with no additional flaws.
    SHIPPING INFORMATION:
I will ship Nina within 1 business day via USPS Priority Mail. If the shipping charges to your mailing address are less than .25, I will refund you the difference, only charging you the actual shipping cost. Due to high shipping costs, I do not ship to AK, HI, or any other U.S. Territories. Since these are larger dolls, I am not able to combine shipping. I do not ship internationally.
I am happy to answer any questions! Thank you so much for browsing!
